What is Products Liability?

Modified on Thu, 24 Oct 2019 at 11:21 AM

Means anything (after it has ceased to be in the Named Insured’s possession or control) which has been designed, specified, formulated, manufactured, grown, extracted, altered, produced, processed, assembled, constructed, erected, installed, treated, serviced, altered,

repaired, sold, supplied, resupplied, imported, exported, parcelled, packaged, bottled, labelled or distributed by or on behalf of the Named Insured including any packaging

or container of the thing including:

directions, markings, labels, instructions, warnings or advice given or omitted to be given in

connection with the thing; or anything in respect of which the Named Insured is taken or deemed to be the manufacturer by operation of a law of Australia or New Zealand.

While the product is in your possession or control it is deemed to be Public Liability but once it has left your possession or control it is deemed to be products liability.

Any damage to the Products you make are not covered under this policy. This is not covering your loss or damage to stock.
